A FISH...REALLY?
Hello Everyone!
This week seemed to go by faster than the past couple of weeks for some reason.
Monday we went and did District Prep day with our old district. They played Sand Volleyball. My arm wasn't all the way healed yet so I watched and wrote some letters. But Sister Stratman had a a blast and that's all that matters!
This week we had a lot of miracles happen with our investigators. We were able to meet with T and had a great lesson with him. He is really starting to open up to us. He kind of plays "hard to understand" but he is just blooming like a rose! haha
One cool thing that happened was we made plans to go and check out some apartment complex's to find some people and the two that we planned we couldn't get into. So we went down this other street and just started walking. We saw this guy outside and we were able to teach him about the Book of Mormon. He said he would read it and pray about it AND he accepted to be baptized! JACK POT! Haha too bad he is not a YSA. So we handed him off to the Goldenrod Elders. He was pretty great though! He had some questions that he wanted answered. So as he reads he will be able to find his answers.
We also taught another really awesome lady who isn't YSA. Too bad but hey we don't feel so bad because they send us some pretty great people too!
So we are on Car share with the Elders and they were supposed to give it back to us on Thursday. Then they texted us and said that they couldn't give it to us because they didn't have it. We were like what???? They told us it got Stolen and this whole story through out the entire day about how it was stolen the night before and taken to Miami and totaled. And to top it off they said that all 4 of us could loose our driving privileges. Sister Stratman and I were like are you kidding me??? We were gonna call the Elder over Vehicles and then the Elders texted us and were like "We are just kidding! It just got Towed.... But we have it back." Ugh Elders. They drive me crazy! So we finally get the car back and they said, "Hey We felt really bad so we bought you a gift. It's in the car...." Uh oh We were like greeeeeaaatttt. So we get the Car and it's a fish. They bought us a fish. We aren't supposed to have pets of any kind. Sooo we took it home and gave him the name Clel Mcgregor. haha Those are the names of our Zone Leaders put together haha! Don't tell them though! We are working on finding Clel a home.
A miracle that happened this week was we had a lesson with a member and the lesson was really unexpected. So we meet with this member and share the video "Mountains to Climb" and after the video she says "You guys don't even know what I have been going through but that is just what I needed' So cool! Heavenly Father is so aware of his children! I know it! He is aware of YOU and Loves YOU and knows YOU individually.
We had a great Sunday yesterday. T came to church and he is really making good friends and our other investigator K came for Relief Society. It was great! I am so grateful to be in a YSA ward! We hear alot of conversion stories in this ward because it is mostly made up of converts. And all of them are so cool! This age group is awesome! They are all looking for something more and the meaning to their lives and we have the answer! When they are converted they are solid! There are some great conversion stories here.
I am thankful for the opportunity to serve here!
Matt and Shoney that is so awesome about your neighbors! Keep it up! Shoney wrote me an awesome Email and I wanted to share a piece of it....
"I'm just so grateful that I'm not scared to do "missionary" work anymore. I used to ignore missionary work talks in conference. Lol. Now after seeing the missionaries, and you and Kimmi, I've realized that it is all about becoming a true friend to people and genuinely caring about and serving them. Then as you live your testimony there are plenty of opportunities to share what you know and invite them to church and activities"
I love that Shone! So true as you genuinly show those around you the love you have for the Gospel and for them the Holy Ghost will bear witness to them that what you are doing is Good and Goodness comes from God.
I hope you all have a wonderful Father's Day this next weekend!
HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY PAIGERS!
Love you all! Love, Sister Forsey
