Hey Ya'll!
What a week, what a week, as always! After emailing last week we went with the Longwood sisters (ya know the ones we share the car with) and got some Fro yo (frozen yogurt...yum) ,then we did some shopping at Ross, where a miracle happened (wink wink(. I walked out with nothing, not a single thing. BE PROUD! boooyaaaahhhh! I restrained myself! Then we went to Walmart and did some grocery shopping, whew got my shopping fix. That night we visited a member and she took us over to meet her neighbor who isn't a member. It was this lady's birthday a few days earlier, so we sang to her and I whipped out Dad's Happy Birthday One Day Late song. They loved it! haha We also helped her with a room that she was getting ready to paint. I love just loving people and offering service!
Tuesday was my Five Month Mark! Can you believe it?? I can't! Time flies when your serving the Lord! We had district meeting that day and had a lesson with one of the ward missionaries. Later that night we had a lesson with one of the ward missionaries' brother, Sean. We felt very impressed to share with him, about the plan of salvation. So we did and it went really well. It is interesting how the Spirit can direct...we all need to just listen. Then we went and saw some part member less active families. They carry a heavy load, but most are filled with hope.
Wednesday we taught a referral from another ward missionary. Her name is Heather. She is going through a really rough time right now and is looking to change her life around and be right with God. We had a wonderful first lesson and will be seeing her again this Tuesday. We also met a member who is really sick, so he doesn't get to come to church very often. He has tumors in his brain and lungs, and a lot of other problems. But boy does he love the gospel! He is a convert and has a very strong testimony. He is so happy that he has the knowledge that we are spirits having an earthly experience and not bodies having a spiritual experience. I love to talk to people like that. Then we talked to a potential investigator's wife, her name is Jenny. She is such a kindred spirit! We are hoping we can set up a time to see them this week.
Thursday we were on exchanges with the Sister Trainer Leaders in the Golden Rod area. Sister Strein came to Lake Mary with me and boy did we have fun! I learned so much from her! I love exchanges, you can learn so much, if your heart is open!
Friday We had 3 appointments and all 3 of them fell through. yup. But hey it was alright! We had backups! We did some weekly planning and did some service helping a less active move. Then we saw another less active, Sister Montalvo. She is hilarious, I just love her. It was a fun time getting to know her.
Saturday we had a lesson with a nice man named Henry, he was very accepting of our message and we are seeing him tonight again. (yay) That day we did some tracting, saw some Less Actives and had Coordination meeting with Brother Busch and the Elders. Sister Busch invited us to stay for dinner and she made tacos with the cafe Rio Dressing. Oh man was it divine! A taste of home! Then we went to see an investigator, Anthony. We saw him a couple weeks ago, but we wanted to stop by and invite him to church. We have a few times before and his wife doesn't like us, she is very rude to us. So this time she went and got Anthony and he came out and said, " We can't meet anymore because you are keeping the appointments" meaning we can't meet anymore because you stop by unannounced. So we left it at that. He isn't prepared and there are plenty out there that are. We encouraged him to keep reading and praying. We were really bummed though...it is so hard to loose someone like Anthony, that gets dragged down by someone else. It is also not real fun having someone be very rude to you. So it was an ice cream and paint your nails kind of night! Haha Missionary therapy at it's finest!
Sunday we went to church and then had a wonderful lesson with a less active and some ward missionaries, the Willis's. We taught the Restoration and the spirit was so strong!! It was awesome cool. We had dinner with the Willis's and then the Ward Missionary Lessons. It was a good day, a good week!
Well it is POURING outside right now and I guess that means we don't have to clean the car woot woot! haha just kidding (we turn it back to the Longwood sisters for the week). But I love you all and hope you have a wonderful week! Until, next time! Aurivoir!
