Hello All!
Well this past week was a rough one. Last Monday we had Pday and decorated our planners. We just cut out pics from the Ensign and tape them on our missionary planners. I love Walter Rane paintings he just captures such emotion. If you haven't seen them check them out!
Tuesday I woke up really sick with some stomach issues and Sister Winslow also woke up not feeling well so we were in bed all day, literally.
Wednesday we had district meeting and talked about accounting to the Lord through Prayer. I really loved the lesson in that. Being Accountable is so important! After District Meeting we went to the Instacare for Sister Winslow. She had noticed her symptoms as a Kidney Infection because she has had one before so we spent the rest of the afternoon there. And yup, she had a Kidney Infection. The rest of the day we just took it easy. We did get to see some Less Actives.
Thursday morning we went and did some service for a member in our ward. She was very appreciative. I love serving the members. We also saw Brother Stude. He is really progressing I am so grateful to be here and to see the gospel of Jesus Christ Bless and change people's lives. That night we asked the Elders in our ward to give Sister Winslow a Blessing. I am so grateful for the priesthood. What a wonderful blessing from the Lord. There is nothing like the spirit in the room with missionaries calling upon the powers of Heaven.
Friday we had a lesson with our investigator, Ladysbell. We had a member come with us, Sis. Chevrier. We were so grateful for sister Chevrier! Ladysbell loves to study but she wants support to everything we say from the Bible. Luckily Sis. Chevrier knows the Bible really well. It was hilarious to watch these two women in complete respect go back and forth. Thank heaven for Sis. Chevrier! If it was just us we would have been lost. Gotta study, study MORE- especially the BIBLE!
Saturday we had the Adult Session of Stake Conference and Elder Walker of the seventy was there. It was a great meeting. Although I walked in and some man came and shook my hand. I kind of looked at him a little strange and then shook the Stake president's hand and then an alarm went of in my head HELLO YOU JUST SHOOK A GENERAL AUTHORITY'S HAND! THAT WAS ELDER WALKER. I was so embarrassed. Oh well I knew I had another chance on Monday or maybe he didn't even notice. Haha
He was so funny. Sunday we had stake conference and Elder Walker talked a lot about only making certain decisions once. It was a good conference. Then Yesterday we got to hear from him again at a zone conference. When we all got in a line to shake his hand It got to my turn and I shook his hand and he said," you were at the conference Saturday night right?" almost got away with it! I then said "Yes! I apologize for not recognizing you." AT one point he was talking with us and he said "okay who wants to come up here and role play with a general authority??" Of course I raised my hand! So I went up with Sister Winslow and he explained the situation and said his name was Bill. So I started with " Well Bill" and then he turns around to everyone and says "Can you believe she just called a general Authority by his first name???" It was pretty funny. Everyone was laughing. I loved learning from Elder Walker he gave a lot of insight and good trainings.
Well that was my week. I love you all have a wonderful week!
Love, Sister Forsey
Mom- Thank you so much for your letter. Your comment about Elder Holland was just what I needed to hear. An answer to my prayers. I have been going through a bit of a rough patch but between Zone Conference and your comments I am ready to rally back up and get to work. Thank you so much for listening to the spirit. I love you!! Oh and the picture of Paige = Adorable! The black pillow you have on the porch, well I bought the same exact one at Target in Blue a while ago. Like Mother like daughter! hahaha HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I think that is a great plan for you guys! Tell me how it goes! Love you!
