Fo Shizzle, Welcome to our Hizzle
Hello Everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! It was chilly here in Florida, it got down to the 30's at night and the 50 -60's during the day brrrrrrrrr haha
Well transfers are this week and... drumroll.........................................................
I'm Staying in Lake Mary with Sister Winslow!! We were so surprised!! I thought I would be transferred for sure, but the Lord knows better. I guess I haven't accomplished all I am supposed to accomplish here yet. I am very grateful because that means that I get to be here for the Holidays!!! I do love Lake Mary so I am very Happy!
Well last Monday we were supposed to go to the Bishop's house for dinner but his wife ended up going to the ER because of high Blood Pressure (she's pregnant) but she was okay, she just had to take it extremely easy.
Tuesday we had district meeting and I gave a spiritual thought on Humility. I really enjoyed studying about it. There are so many aspects to being Humble. One thing that stuck out to me is the story of Laman and Lemuel. When Lehi had told them about his vision and they didn't understand it, Nephi asks them, Did you inquire of the Lord? and they did not. We need to ask God and he can tell us all things. For me it was a reminder that I need to include the Lord in His work.
After DM we went over to the Bishop's house for Lunch. Sis. Haring (the bishops wife) had made all this food the night before, before she went into the ER. So when she got home, she said come for lunch! We won't eat all of this. So we did. It was fun. After that we went Knocking and taught this really nice lady named Kathy. She seemed like she would be interested, but when we asked to come back and schedule an appt. she said no. Bummer. So we left and while getting our Bikes we met this other nice lady named Diane. She was all for us coming over! So we will see her this week.
Then while riding on our bikes around another neighborhood. We talked to this guy named **Oguillerm. He was asking us a ton of questions about the Book of Mormon. So we gave him a copy and he said he would read it. It was a good knocking day. We then had dinner with the Busch family and next saw the **Rcesa Family. They are Less Active. We taught the Restoration. We are hoping to help them get back to the basics of their testimonies.
Wednesday we went knocking and we stopped at this one house and their door mat said "Fo Shizzle, Welcome to our Hizzle" I died laughing I thought it was so hilarious! I had sister Winslow take a pic of it with me! I need one of those. We taught the **Shay family that night. We taught them the Word of Wisdom. It's gonna be harder than we thought to help them start living it. We thought we would only have an issue with smoking but they also drink coffee. So we are working with them.
It was pretty chilley that day so sister Winslow and I came home and had some Hot Cocoa and Cookies. Well It's supposed to be back in the 80's by this week so this will be like no Christmas season I've ever seen!
Thursday we had Thanksgiving dinner with the Chevrier Family! It was really good! They are a fun family. After Dinner we went and tried to visit some Less Actives but had no luck. After a few dirty looks we ended up visiting the Willis family. So It was a good Thanksgiving.
Friday Sister Ashworth came and got us for lunch and she took us to Panera. It made me remember my Jersey days! I love Panera!
Sis. Winslow wasn't really feeling very good that day, so I just studied a lot and did some mapping on our mission map. I don't know if I mentioned this, but Sister Winslow has a cyst on her kidneys and it bothers her sometimes. Hopefully she will be fully okay soon.
Saturday the elders had a baptism with their investigators, David and Mary Ann. It was a wonderful Baptism. they have been teaching them for 4 1/2 months. Oh! and the Bishop's wife went into Labor and had their little girl at 4 am. So they weren't able to be there at the baptism, but we were all just glad mom and baby were okay.
We had dinner at The Roe's house! Their family is so funny, always fun to be with them! Mom- Yvonne and Delia were just singing your praises!! They Love you!!
Sunday we had a great day. Sister and President Berry came for David and Mary Ann's confirmation and we had a great Sunday full of meetings. We did meet a nice man named Robert and taught him the Restoration. Well a watered down version, but he felt the spirit! Hopefully he will come to church!
Sister Winslow and I fasted yesterday that Heavenly Father would help us find a family ready to Hear and accept the gospel. I am excited to see what this week brings!
I hope you all have a wonderful week and are enjoying this wonderful Christmas Season! Love you all! - Sister Forsey
