Calling: Senior Training Companion
Mormons on the Move
Hello Everyone!
Wowza another week down. This one has floowwwn by!
Tuesday after we emailed we went to a member's home for dinner and did some service for her and her next door neighbor. I just absolutely love service! Later that day we were knocking and it had been a rough day with Sister Ransom. We knocked on this one guy's door and I asked him his name and he basically shooed us off of his porch. I almost lost it. I had to choke back the tears. But then the Lord blessed us with a tender mercy! The next door we knocked on was the nicest lady! She reminded me so much of Diana in Conway! We taught her the restoration and it went really well. Then we saw a potential and taught her the restoration and that went really well too! Right before you think you can't go any longer the lord blesses you! It always makes me think of Joseph Smith's first vision and how he was be attacked by a "being from an unseen world" and it was very dark for him AND then he sees a pillar of Light. It reminds me to just keep going no matter how hard it gets because you never know when you are on the verge of "a great and marvelous work".
Wednesday we did some contacting and taught with a ward missionary. His name is Ben, he reminds me so much of Spencer it's funny. Then we did some service and there was a HUGE storm. Mom- you are so right now is the time for the real bad weather! We had dinner at a members home and the Bevans stopped by to chat for a bit! It was so good to see them! They told me that the less active/part member family Sis. Hoffmeier and I were working on, the McMillans have stopped taking the lessons and coming to church :( Keep them in your prayers!
Thursday we had Zone Training Meeting! It was so much fun! President and Sister Berry came and brought the Florida Orlando Mission's "Title of Liberty" you can see all the pics up on the mission blog, floridaorlandomission.com we also had an awesome ZTM. Later that day we had a wonderful lesson with a less active, Brother Stude. He is so ready to come to church! He just needs to jump in! We're working on it.
Friday we went down to Orlando for Sis. Ransom. I hung out in the mission office. When we got back we went to a lesson and the person cancelled so we decided to go to a Less active's home that we have tried like 30 times and can never get anyone! Well we pulled up right after them and finally were able to talk to someone! It was a miracle! Timing is everything!
Saturday we had the opportunity as a zone to participate in the American Heart Association's 5k walk. It was so much fun! There were a ton of people there and our stake all had Tshirts that had the church's name on the back along with "Mormon's on the Move" and on the front, Run and not be weary, Walk and not faint. It was cool! You can also see pictures of it on the mission blog. That night we went to the Busch's for coorilation and Sister Busch and I played around on the piano and sang a bunch of songs. It was fun.
Sunday we had a bunch of meetings and after church we drove down to the Mission Home so President Berry could chat with Sister Ransom. I got to talk with Sister Berry. Oh my goodness I just love them so much! Talking with sister Berry was like talking with a good friend! Much needed Therapy! Then I talked with president. He was just deciding what would be best for Sister Ransom and I (Transfers are this week). I told him I would do whatever the Lord asked of me. So we went back home and went contacting. Met a sweet woman named Kathy. She just lost her husband 2 months ago. So we are really hoping she will fully partake of the blessings of the gospel and make her family an eternal one.
This morning the assistants called and told us that Sister Ransom is being transferred to Olympia and Sister Geilman who is in Ellsworth right now is coming to Lake Mary.
I love you all I hope you have a wonderful week! Love, Sister Forsey
