Happy Mother's Day!
Hello Everyone!
So this week we have been working hard and seeing miracles! To start off with a funny story: we were at our dinner appointment on Tuesday night and it was with the RS President. She lives out in the boonies. So we were there and helping to finish up dinner and this huge storm rolled it. Lighting and thunder were going at about the same time. It was crazy! Then the power started to flicker. And BOOM! The power went out. bummer. The meat still wasn't cooked. So we had no dinner. We waited for a good while. Ate dessert first and chatted, shared a message. Then we called the power company. It was gonna be a very long while. So we went to Hardee's to get a burger. It was pretty funny. I felt bad though because this sweet sister went through all that trouble for dinner. But it was kind of funny.
This week on Wednesday a member texted us and told us that her daughter was bringing a friend to Young Womens and that she is ready to learn. We thought Great! Her name is M and she is so sweet! Her family is Catholic but her mom is so supportive to what ever she wants to do. She said when she walked into the church building she felt like she needed to whisper. She didn't know why though. It was really cool! Her friend was able to tell her she felt that way because it was a house of the Lord.
The rest of the week we met a lot of people. Sunday was the Ft. Lauderdale temple dedication. Pres. Uchtdorf was the one to come and dedicate the temple. Elder Christofferson was also there. Pres. Uchtdorf was hilarious! So funny! He kept on cracking jokes. In one of the sessions he looked around and said,"Everyone's awake, wow! It's okay to sleep in meetings like this cause that means you are peaceful and the spirit is here." or something to that effect. So funny! I love it when we can see that the general authorities love life and love to laugh.
Whelp that's about it for the week. Sorry for the short one but I am so excited to see and talk with everyone on Sunday!
I love you all! Have a wonderful week! And to all those mothers Happy Mother's Day!!
Love, Sister Forsey
