Hey!
Alright, what a week, what a week!! Seriously I CANNOT believe it is Monday already again haha! It has been a great week!
Last Monday was Sis. Hoffmeir's birthday, we went to the park with our district and played soccer and ultimate Frisbee. It was a lot of fun! Then I took Sis. Hoffmeier out for Dinner! While we were at dinner a big storm rolled in, aaannnddd we were on our bikes. ugh So after Dinner we went to a lesson on our bikes AND we got soaked, which was alright hahaha
Well our lesson was with Johnny and Eliza. We got to what we thought was their house and we knocked on the door and a man answered and said there was no Johnny there and shut the door. We were so confused! It was like the twilight zone! Then we remembered it was a few streets down. (all the house numbers are the same, different street names, but same numbers) We met Johnny the week before and they are Seven Day Adventists. They are so interested in hearing more about Jesus Christ. It was an awesome lesson! They both committed to read the BOM and to pray about it. Johnny gave the closing prayer and it was so awesome! He asked if this was Heavenly Father's will and the spirit was just so strong! We will see them again tonight. I am so excited.
Then we went and taught a less active and her family. Her kids and husband sat in and her kids said they would read and pray as well. It was such a great day!
Tuesday we had a lesson with Teressa and she is just not remembering anything. We are not sure what to do. So we just read the Book of Mormon with her and called it good.
Wednesday I got a blessing from Elder Bevans and Brother Sellers (first counselor in the bishopric) . In my blessing it said that The Florida Orlando mission is MY mission. I was so comforted by it! We are so blessed to have the Priesthood! Brother Sellers was telling me about Gold Bond and after he left Elder Bevan's said they were talking in the car and Bro. Sellers said, "We can't loose her can we??" and Elder Bevans said, "no we cannot" How sweet is that?! Then Bro. Sellers went and bought me a huge thing of Gold Bond! (mom is that alright to put on it to keep it dry? or will it irritate the skin and clog the pore?) I am so very blessed with the people around me!
Later that day we went to visit some less actives and there was a cop outside one of the houses and he got out and told us not to be walking around because "there's a wild man on the loose" haha alright? We just walked back to the car and went to visit someone else. haha
That night we had our scripture study class which was great! Elder Bevans taught and WOW does he bring a spirit! We just love the Bevans! They are awesome! I also got a package from mom! WOO!! I LOVE packages! It's like Christmas morning!!! haha
Thursday we taught Teressa and she is still not remembering anything and we think she is just feeling very frustrated with her current living situation... So we will have to see what happens.
Friday was the day of baking! We baked 125+ Cupcakes, 60+ sugar cookies and 100+ cake pops all for Dianna's wedding.
Later that day we had another awesome lesson with Kristy and her family. Saturday we saw Joe again and shared a scripture with him, we think he may just like the company and isn't really interested in the gospel. But we will work on him! haha Then we visited some very sweet members.
After that we went home got all the desserts and headed to the church to ice them! We iced them and helped set up for the reception and helped Dianna with whatever she needed. The ceremony was in the chapel and it was just beautiful!
Dianna and her whole family were just beaming! 20 missionaries have waited for this moment so she can get baptized and WE got to see it. I was on the verge of tears, it was just the most incredible thing!
The reception was awesome! When she threw the bouquet there wasn't a lot of girls there to catch it so Sis. Hoffmeier and I jumped in and I was in the front. Sister Forsey told Jenni, "Now jenni you are a missionary so you don't catch the bouquet!"... and Jenni was ok with it, but when Dianna tossed it the animal (Jenni) came out! bahahahahahaha! Well needless to say I caught it and it was hilarious! So mom be ready in 17 months! hahaha!
Sunday we had church and visited some people and then we found a peacock's nesting ground! We had seen like 1 or 2 of them in a yard but then we found the herd! There had to be like 30+ peacocks. It was insane!
Well I am out of time!
