Hello Family and Friends!
This week has been quite a week full of surprises! Stay tuned.... so this past week we taught of course recent Converts including our main man Tony! We taught him using the Strength of Youth pamphlet and talked to him about the Law of Chastity. He is doing so good and he is being such an example to his friends! It really is so important to treat our bodies as the sacred Temples that they are. It was also Tony's Birthday this week so we made him a cake and he was just grinning from ear to ear.
We had dinner with a sister in the stake who her and her husband have the calling as the YSA Area something or other. Haha they are great and so much fun! She took us out to dinner and we just loved talking to her. She reminded me of you mom! So Tender Mercy!
We taught M this week and we talked about the Doctrine of church. You know the why we go to church. We talked all about the sacrament and the significance of it. We weren't really sure how much she understood especially about the Authority. So we felt impressed that we should just start over with her. So the next time we met with her we taught her the restoration. We asked if she knew if the Book of Mormon were true or not and she said that she believed it was true but hasn't received her answer yet for if she should be baptized. We kind of got the feeling that she was looking for something BIG for her answer. I think alot of time we forget that those subtle whisperings of the spirit are our answer and it doesn't necessarily have to be what Saul experienced. So we are gonna share with her this mormon message talking about that. It's real good! Check it out!http://www.mormonchannel.org/video/mormon-messages?v=1452683656001
We taught R this week and we had a really good lesson with him! We taught him about the sabbath day and the sacrament as well! It was probably the smoothest lesson we have ever had with him. It was pretty cool. We committed him to come to church early to feel the spirit and prepare himself mentally and spiritually to partake of the sacrament. On Sunday there he was! Early and all and ready to feel the spirit! It was awesome!
We also had a way good lesson with a member who brought his non-member friend with him. We taught about the restoration and God's love for us. His friend didn't really believe in God. He knows that there is something out there but doesn't know what it is. We testified that that something out there is God and that he knew him by name and loved him. I definitely felt the spirit I hope he did as well.
We taught K on saturday and she told us she is just not ready for Baptism. Which is okay. We are still going to teach her and help her get to that point :)
Yesterday was the Day of surprises! I told you to stay tuned! So! It was fast and testimony meeting and Tony got up to bear his testimony. When he got up there Sis. Stratman and I were just grinning from ear to ear! We were just so happy. He got up and bore his testimony about "being a mormon" haha He had some baptist church goers come up to him and tried to talk to him, and he listened but they started telling him that God was mad at him for being a sinner and a bunch of other stuff. He said that he was just so grateful to be apart of a church that teaches about How much God loves us and how we are his children. It was so cool.
Then after church P. Berry called and asked if we could fit another Bed into our bedroom. We said, yesssss and he said that there would be another sister coming to be with us that night! We were like Woooo HOOOO! Two is company but three is a PARTAAAYYYY! So we called the sisters that would be bringing her and set it all up.
But first we went and taught Nick who is a recent Convert. We were going to teach him a longer lesson but for the sake of time we shortened it and taught about Faith. I love Teaching Nick. He always asks the Best questions! So we talked about Faith and trials and how Heavenly Father will give us what we need to overcome those trials when we need it we just need to be doing all we can do and put ourselves in those positions where he can answer our prayers. Then I felt prompted to share with him another little Mormon Message. It is called Mountains to Climb http://www.mormonchannel.org/mormon-channel-daily/198?v=2176618422001 and wow it is powerful!
As I was watching it I felt the spirit so strongly. I knew that Heavenly Father loved me and wanted me to know that everything would be alright and that I could Climb those mountains. Now with Grandma's passing I have been doing pretty good. I felt that I didn't really NEED anything from my Father in Heaven. Until I watched that video. He answered my unspoken prayer. He gave me something that I NEEDED even when I didn't even know I needed it. It was so cool I am so grateful for my Father in Heaven and him knowing me better than I know myself.
So we went home and made preparations for the new sister! Her name is sister Rogers! She was serving in the Deland area and is from Bountiful Utah! She got emergency Transferred because there was some stuff that had happened with an investigator where it was no longer safe for her and her companion to stay there. So we are all just having a blast together!
Last night we didn't have a bed for her yet so she slept on the couch and we brought our beds out to the living room and had a slumber party! haha
Too bad Transfers are next week and the party only gets to last that long. So now the guessing begins! Will I stay or will I go?? Only time will tell.... Whelp I love you all and hope you have just the most amazing day ever!
Love, Sister Forsey
P.S. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SPENCER!!! LOVE YOUUUUUU!! YOU ARE NUMBER ONE!
