Training Companion: Sis. Peck
Hi all!
What a week we've had!
Monday we had to get the car serviced so while it was being serviced we walked over to a restaurant called Steak and Shake haha. We were waiting for our food when a man came and sat down next to Sis. Peck. We were like uhhhhhhhhh. hahaha He said to us, "Do you know who I am?" We were like, "no??" He said, “I am Brother Russel, my wife and I have been called as mission presidents of the Nicaragua mission." He just sat and talked with us for a bit. He is a way cool guy, and upon leaving he told us that he already paid for our meal. How sweet!! It made my day!
After Pday was over we went to teach Debbie Vaugn. She is less active and has been starting to read the B.O.M again and she loves it! She is starting to feel the spirit again. Which is awesome!!
Tuesday was a day of cancelled appts. haha But we did see Martha she is doing amazing! She is giving up tea and is down to 2 cigarettes a day. Awesome! We also taught Kaleigh (Carrie's daughter) the plan of salvation. Her grandma recently died and she loved the lesson! She commited to be baptized. Which is awesome! We also had a lesson with Quintonio. He is having a hard time changing his lifestyle. So he wasn’t really happy with us.
Wednesday we had interviews with President Hall. Then we came home and Sis. Peck and I had a heart to heart moment. I have been really trying to be positive and haven’t said anything but Sis. Peck and I have been having a tough time getting along. So we had a chat with president and he instructed us to talk to each other. So we did and we will see what happens with transfers coming up.
We had a lesson with Carrie on the Law of Chastity which I was super scared about because she is currently living with her boyfriend of 8 years. But the lesson went great! She said her boyfriend would marry her in a heartbeat and vice versa but he is currently married but doesn’t know where his wife is to send the divorce papers. We haven’t seen/talked to Carrie much after that lesson, so we hope she has just been really busy.
Thursday we had a mission conference where we got to hear from President Ulysses Soares of the Presidency of the Seventy. It was a great conference! He was just put in this past conference.
We also went to see a potential gator, her name is Josephine and she is Baptist. She loves Mormons and loves when we come to her home. When she was younger and pregnant she had a pain in her jaw that wouldn't go away and her husband had already taken her to the dentist. (they thought it was a mouth problem), so it was 12:30 AM and she couldn’t stand it anymore. She got down on her knees and prayed and her answer was to go to the Elders in the Mormon church. So she did just that, she got a priesthood blessing and woke up the next morning feeling just as good as good can be! I wanted to say to her," You had that experience and you didn’t convert right then and there???" haha But of course I wouldn’t say that to her. She is so sweet with a sweet spirit, we will keep working with her.
Friday we taught Quintonio and he told us he didn’t want to take the lessons anymore but he would still like to come to church. So we respected his wishes. Hopefully he will let the Lord soften his heart.
Saturday we knocked a lot of doors and visited some members. At one member's home, the daughter had a friend over who is an exchange student from China. She was very intrigued on what we said. The member friend called us afterward and thanked us for listening to the spirit and stopping by. It was a cool experience!
Sunday I sang in church. It was ok, I didn’t have much time to practice but I had a lot of compliments so it must of been better than I thought.. haha. We prayed for a miracle on Saturday night for Sunday. We got to church and Dale Vaugn was there!! ahhhh! He has been a less active for a while but it was way cool!!
Well I'm about out of time. Love you all! Church is true!!
Love, Sister Forsey

I sat by Sherri Boyle, the sister who is in charge of the music for Sacrament and she heard me singing the hymns haha! That is how I got asked to sing. I'm so glad you got that picture!! Haha It was funny! How is Heidi holding up? I have been thinking of her! What a huge duty it is to be the RS pres., send her my love and tell her I am thinking about her. I didn’t get to read all of your email so I’m printing it off. I can’t wait to talk to you on Mother's Day!! :D I love you more than you know!! Thank you, thank you, thank you for going to Rachel's sealing. I cried while reading about it! It sounds like it was amazing!! I love you to the moon and back! I'll talk to you next week!
