I know that when we pray Heavenly Father is listening.
Helloooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Another Week down and they just keep getting faster and faster. Well this week I went up to Belleview on exchanges with Sister Low. She and I came out together. We were in the same district in the MTC. We had a lot of fun. She loves music as much as I do. She is from Canada and she was telling me all about this summer Play thing they do where the town hires people to come and do shows. She was saying that I should come up for it and be in them. It was fun talking about musicals and having that same love for music.
We taught their two investigators who got baptized on Saturday. So this was on Tuesday and they were getting really excited! One was named Z and teaching and talking with him. He just gets the gospel. He knows it's here to bless him and that it is true. It was cool seeing his testimony. The other Gator's name is P. I had met her once before while I was up there and she is so funny. She too knows that the gospel is true and that it is here to bless her life.
We also saw an active sister who told us the saddest thing. Her husband is not a member and comes to church with her every week. He is just so loyal to her and she was telling us that the people in the ward don't really talk to her or to him :( That just made me so sad. But I LOVED that she still goes to church every week because she knows that even though she is hurting inside the Lord knows and understands and that the Church is true, the people aren't. It was such a testimony builder for me to see her faith and how she just knows that she has made promises with God and that this too shall pass. It was cool.
We had interviews this week with President Berry and he is just so sweet. You always know that he loves and cares about all the missionaries. Same with Sister Berry. She is so funny she just makes me laugh and laugh.
Thursday we stopped by a potential and her name is R. She is so sweet. In our lesson she told us that before we knocked on her door that she just felt spiritually dead but since we came to her door she feels different. We taught the restoration and invited her to be baptized. She said she would on the 24th of May. Please keep her in your prayers. She is so sweet and her family needs the gospel.
So do you remember the mom from last week that when we shared the video with her she started to cry? Well we went back to see her. Her 3 girls saw us and started Yelling, "They're Here! They're Here!" They swung open the door and ran and gave us a hug. They were so cute! They wanted to so badly to pray with us and to see another video. The mom was busy, but we prayed with the 3 girls and shared a little video about prayer. They were so sweet. They too need the gospel. We weren't able to see the Mom but hopefully we will again and she will be ready for it.
The rest of the week, we just were doing missionary work! We visited with some members and got to know them better.
It was a pretty good week. We know that if we are beat on Sunday and look at the past week too- then we know that we did our best for the week.
Sunday I bore my testimony in Sacrament meeting about Prayer. I know that Prayer is the way for us to speak to Heavenly Father and that he is always listening. I loved how the 3 little girls were so excited to pray. Sometimes, a lot of the time we loose that because as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints we pray often. We need to be aware of what we are saying and to constantly strengthen our testimonies by asking questions and receiving answers. I know that when we pray Heavenly Father is listening.
This week has been a great one! I am excited to see what this next week brings.
Love you! Love, Sister Forsey
