A boy A boy????? Wowweeeeee! We are just going for a Nephew Year then! (Nichole due August 20th, Michone due December 5th both due with boys) So excited! Sounds like all the family has had quite the week! So much fun! Summers are the best. Except in Florida haha it's just ridiculously hot. But onto other subjects!
This has been the most exciting week! This week we really focused on Helping T make it to his Baptismal Date. We taught him about the spirit and how it works and showed him the 3 part series of Patterns of Light here is the first one! - http://www.mormonchannel.org/video/mormon-messages?v=1737858982001 It is super good. I love following the spirit and being able to see that it was a prompting from my heavenly Father. We also taught T's friend, A. We taught him about the Plan of Salvation. I am so grateful for that Plan. To know that I will be able to see Granny and Uncle Bill once again and to be able to finally meet Grandma Patsy one day. Heavenly Father loves us so much, he wants us to know that our family relationships can be perpetuated beyond the Grave.
We also taught our member referral R. He is just the sweetest. He really wants to know answers to his questions and only this Gospel and Church has got em!
Saturday I was able to meet up with Allison, Sam, Jilly, and Bruce! (the family that I nannyd for in New Jersey and are now my second fam!) It was so much fun to be able to tell them all about what I am doing here as a missionary! The kids have gotten so big it is crazy! They are just growing on up!
Saturday we had a fun Game Night with the Ward and R came. He had a good time. I love being in a YSA ward they have so many activities and the ward is just like a family. It is great!
Sunday was the BEST DAY EVER!!! T got Baptized!!! This is the first time I have been blessed to teach someone and then to see them be baptized! It was a very nice service. Sister Stratman gave a Talk on Baptism and the Holy Ghost and I sang a medley of Abide with me Tis Eventide and I know that my redeemer Lives. The Spirit was so strong. T was just smiling from Ear to Ear. He was so happy. We were asking about who he wanted to say the prayers and choose some songs to sing and he was like " all I care about is that I get baptized!" It was great. When Elder Call dunked him under T was pretty tense. He is Hydrophobic so it was a big thing for him to go under the water. His fist was out the first time and then the second time his arm. The third time was the charm and Elder Call just pushed him all the way under. For Baptism the whole Body must be submerged so no part is out. He was laughing about it so that's good.
He bore his testimony about how he is so grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was the Best end to a Transfer! Sister Stratman and I will be staying together in College Park. And then there were 2. Transfers left that is for this sister Missionary! Time is just a flyin!
Well I love you all! Have a great week!
Love, Sister Forsey
