MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Hello Everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas full of family and friends! THANK YOU so much to all those who made sure to make my Christmas here in Florida so special! I am so very blessed and grateful for my wonderful family and friends.
Last Monday we had District P day, we went to the church and made Graham Cracker houses, had a white elephant, and played dodge ball. It was so much fun.
On Tuesday it was Christmas Eve! Yay! We made the Elder's Brownies for Christmas. They enjoyed them. We went and saw some potentials that day and just talked with some people at the park. Then we went over to the Pilcher's house where we had dinner and played a game called Tumba it was crazy fun! It's kind of like Jenga but you build it instead of try to take them out. They gave us a gift as well, they are so sweet! They gave us each a journal and then game me a scarf and sis. Winslow a bracelet. How grateful I am for such wonderful people. Then Bro. Pilcher read the Christmas story out of Luke 2. Then we got in the car and drove around to see the lights. They had Chocolate Bars for the Kids to give away to their favorite House. It was really fun! This one house had a ton of lights, like A TON! We stopped to give them chocolate and they invited us all inside where there were even more decorations. This house was packed full of Christmas! They had one room where there were tiny villages along all the walls and it was just amazing. haha They said they leave the inside up year round. Crazy. What a special Christmas Eve it ended up being.
Well Then we went home and opened up our Christmas Eve PJ's (THANKS MOM! HAHA WE LOVE THEM!) and had Hot chocolate and Star cookies. It was so wonderful!
Wednesday it was Merry Christmas! We woke up and opened our gifts. (see pictures :D) Oh and we of course had Cap'n Crunch (A Forsey tradition!!) Then we did some studying and then went to the Roe's for Breakfast. Surprise! My mom had sent Sis. Roe some Forsey Stolen to surprise me with on Christmas morning! So she had Stolen baking as I came in! YAY! So yummy and what a wonderful taste of home! Thanks Roes! I love you!
Then we went to visit Bro. Stude with the Willis'. We gave Bro. Stude a tie for Christmas to wear to Church on Sundays. I think he liked it. Then the Willis' took us out for Lunch. Next we went back to their house to watch "Joy to the World" I love the Willis' they are so great!
That night went over to the Moghimi's to skype our families and to have some dinner. They fried us a Turkey!! Yummy! Getting to see everyone over Skype was so much fun! Thank you all for tuning in! I loved it! What a blessing the internet is. And how cool it was to see EVERYONE!
Thursday we had District meeting I gave a training on having REAL faith: Not that God Can but that he Will. Later that day Sis. Winslow and I were a little bummed out. We love talking and seeing family but it's kind of hard getting back into missionary mode and the swing of things. So we went out and got to work. We met this really nice girl named Olvia. She was so sweet. We said a prayer with her and she started to cry. I guess she is going through some tough times.
Friday I woke up Sick Bleh so we didn't do much, we weekly planned and went to see some Part Member families. One girl opened the door and she is from Utah! her boyfriend is a member and she said that she has some aunt and uncles who are Mormon as well. So we prayed with her and shared a scripture and asked her if she wanted to take the missionary lessons. she said sure why not? haha! New Gator Woo Hoo! God is Good!
Saturday we went tracting and had a few lessons. Sunday I gave a talk in church about Goals. It was based off of a talk given by Dean L. Larson entitled "Some Thoughts on Goal-setting" It is so good! With the new year approaching I encourage all of you to read it and apply the things that it teaches. (CLICK HERE) It is so good!
After Church we biked to an appointment and it started to rain. We got Drenched. So we showed up to our appointment soaking. It was kind of funny. Luckily the Inactive we had the lesson with was so sweet. Then we went and saw a potential that we had contacted a while ago and she invited us right in and we taught her the restoration right then and there. New Gator! Woo! The Lord has blessed us so much this week. I am just so grateful for all the many things he has and continues to bless me with.
I am excited for a new year. Holy Cow can it be another year already? Wow. Well I hope you all have a wonderful new year. I love you all!
Love, Sister Forsey
