Hello Everyone!!
This week as been awesome! We had a lot of finding time!! But don't worry we made it a lot of FUN!
So This week we taught some new people. One of the first was a media referral we got. So we made an appointment and went to the address. It was at a group home. The person we were looking for was named David. He was the sweetest person I think I have ever met. He found our card in the office there and called the number on it. So we read some of the Book of Mormon with him. We weren't sure how much he understood but you could tell he just loves to read the scriptures and pray. So we left a Book of Mormon with him and that was that. We aren't really sure if he is accountable so we may go back and just read with him and talk with him. The spirits there are so sweet. They must be so close to our Father in Heaven just like kids. It was neat to talk with some of the residents there.
We did a lot of contacting this week as I said before. One man we met promptly told us he was Athiest and a Nazi. So we just left it at that haha. We did meet a woman named Mary and set up a time to meet with her on Saturday. So we went on Saturday and met with her. She is from Haiti and works at Disney. She was very open to our message and felt the spirit while we talked with her. We shared a mormon message with her about the restoration of the Gospel http://www.mormonchannel.org/video/mormon-messages?v=1101418645001 here it is! It is cool with our IPads because now we can share videos and testimonies of Apostles and Prophets. The Spirit is so strong when we are able to do that. She said she would read and Pray about the Book of Mormon and we are meeting with her again on Wednesday. So More to come! Keep her in your prayers please!
I was reading in the book of Ether this morning in chapter 12. In verses 13-15 it talks about the many miracles that happened through out the Book of Mormon in missionary work because of the faith of the missionaries. As I read I felt a true desire to have that faith and to see the miracles come from it. Faith + Obedience = Miracles. FOM! I love that.
The rest of the Week has been full of finding and working with members. We had a Zone Teaching Meeting this week and one of the trainings given there was all about thinking outside the box of finding opportunities. One of them was going to get Ice Cream and just talking to people! Riding around and contacting everyone.
So Saturday we put a lot of those into action! We had a really good day! We got Ice Cream AND we made some really solid contacts. Success? I THINK YES! haha We also were able to see a Less Active who we have been trying to get a hold of. She was home and we were able to talk with her! Woo hoo! she is working full time and going to school and Sundays are her day for homework. We testified that coming to church and taking the sacrament will help her in her schooling but she felt otherwise. She just has some priorities mixed up. Sad Day. I know that if we put God First we will succeed no matter what!
Well we set up a lot of appointments for this upcoming week and we are expecting to see a lot of miracles!! Thank you all so much for the support and prayers. I feel them! I Love you!!
