Hi Everyone!!!
Happy Valentine's Week!! I am so grateful for you all in my life. I am truly feeling so loved this Valentines!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARAH FORSEY ON THURSDAY!!
HAPPY BIRHTDAY JANET PLAZIER ON SATURDAY!!
Love you guys!! Hope you have a great one!
So this week has an interesting one but fun! always fun!!! On Tuesday we went knocking and talked to this guy walking his dog. He said his name was Richard. I asked him, "Have you ever Read the Book of Mormon?" he replied, "No but I want to!" So we set up a time to come and see him and share more.
That day we had had a long day of riding our bikes and knocking on doors, we worked through dinner because we had a lesson down where we were at, at 7pm. So we went to our appointment and were just beat! So we get in the car and decide we don't want to make dinner so we went to Chipotle. On the way in, we run into a member, she is so much fun! She bought us dinner too! Oh my gosh we just wanted to Cry! The tender mercies of the Lord are so apparent!
I was watching a Mormon message and Pres. Eyring is talking about journaling and the last thing he would always put in his journal every day, was a miracle and he would ask himself, Have I seen the hand of the Lord in my life today?? I LOVED that! I know that if we are doing the things we should be that God will ALWAYS have a hand in our day to day lives.
We had an experience this week with one of our members. We had dinner at her house and she has the missionaries over for dinner all the time. I mean there are 3 sets in this ward so that's a lot. Well she watches the Mormon messages with her son all the time so we were thinking and pondering on what she needed. It was just going to be her and her son tonight because her husband was at work. So we decided she needed to see the Courage Mormon message. So we started it up and of course she said she has seen it before. We watched it and looked at her and she was crying. It was just what she needed to hear. The spirit spoke to her and testified of the love Heavenly Father has for her.
Then we were in charge of scripture study this past week and we felt impressed to talk about the Tree of Life in 1 Nephi 11. We had some of the Elder's investigators there and the ward mission Leader. The spirit was so strong! One of the Investigators and our ward mission Leader had been touched by the spirit and shed tears. It was one of the most rewarding days of the transfer so far. I love being a tool in the Lord's hand. It is one of the sweetest experiences to follow a prompting and to know it was an answer to someone's prayer.
I love being a missionary and to do the Lord's work everyday. The days are now feeling like minutes and the weeks hours and the months days. I can't believe I have already been in Clermont a month. It really does just start speeding up. I am so grateful for this chance the Lord has given me to be his representative and to influence people for the better. I am so grateful for the conversion I am experiencing for myself on my mission.
We get to go to the Temple on Friday! I am beyond stoked!! It has been almost a year since I have been back which is far too long. I have been studying some scriptures that Elder Nelson suggests in this article...https://www.lds.org/youth/article/symbolism-and-temple-preparation?lang=eng I love studying all about the temple and to see that the deeper you dig, the truer the Church!
I am so thankful for all of you who support me on my mission. I couldn't be here without you. I hope you all have a wonderful week. Love you!!
Love, Sister Forsey
P.S. Chris and Choley! You just couldn't wait 1 more month! I guess 1 month isn't too bad. But I am sad I will miss the newborn phase haha I am so excited for you guys!! I didn't get the video but I'm glad mom included the news in her email. I fully expect a video of Nichole dancing with her Pregnant Belly. Congratulations!!
