God is the Same, Yesterday, Today & Forever
Hello Everyone!
It was so good to see you all yesterday on skype! It was kind of crazy so I didn't talk much about my week but I am glad because now I can do it on here!
So this week we had some cool miracles happen. We met some really good potentials while tracting. One is named J. He really wants to change for his family. Hopefully he was being sincere and we can teach and baptize him. Because here in the Florida Orlando Mission we BAPTIZE! I am still waiting to see those baptisms. haha I know the Lord will give me the experience when he knows I am ready.
We met another woman named M and she is awesome. We had a great first lesson with her and established our purpose. She really seemed like she is looking for more. We weren't able to see her again last week but hopefully we will be able to see her this week.
We saw alot of members this week and a lot of them opened up to us. We had a dinner with a less active who has the desire to be sealed in the temple with her husband but has a long way to go. We asked her why she wants to be sealed in the temple and she just bore her testimony to us and started to cry. It was really cool. I love it when Heavenly Father gives you those questions to ask that are just what they need!
We had a lesson with our investigator who is progressing. Her name is M and she is awesome! She is a member referral. Her friend K has been telling her about the church and invited M to come to Young Womens. So M came and loved it! We taught her the restoration this last week and we texted her yesterday to see how her reading and praying has been going and she said, "Great! I am seeing Heavenly Father in a whole new light" Wow! How cool is that?? I am so grateful for the restoration.
I was reading in Romans this morning and it talks about how if we accept Christ we need to accept Prophets. Because it is through Prophets that Christ was prophesied about and they bore testimonies of Christ. God really is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He has and always will have a prophet on the earth.
We did some service this week with a family for their neighbor. His name is Mr. D and he is the sweetest man! He has been very ill. He loved taking care of his yard but since he has been ill he hasn't been able to keep it up. So we went over and mowed his lawn, pulled his weeds, and cleaned up his yard. He was so appreciative. It was so good to serve him!
Saturday we had our Ward's Day of Service! It was so much fun! We went to a place called BB Brown's Gardens and did some projects around the property.
Then we had a baptism in our ward. A family who are all members except for the dad have been working with him for a long time and he was baptized on Sunday! It was so great!
Sunday was Sister Ackley's Birthday so I made her a nice big breakfast and we went and visited some sisters in a nursing home. Then we went to church and had Dinner with the Byron's.
It was a great week! I am excited for this next week. I hope you all have a wonderful week! Love you!
Love, Sister Forsey
