HIT BY A CAR....oh my...
Hello Everyone!
Well this week was crazy. Literally. I got hit by a car.....but we'll talk about that later!
Now that I have your attention... on to the week! We had Zone Conference on Tuesday and it was amazing! It was probably one of the most spiritual Zone Conferences of my mission. There were a lot of really great trainings and talks. It just really pumped me up to get out and get to work. At the end they had a recent convert come and bear his testimony. It was so good it had everyone in tears. He just thanked us all for what we are out here doing and told his story. He said that he and his wife had been struggling to work things out with their marriage and they had tried some other churches and a member that he knew invited him to his. So he talked with his wife and they accepted. They came and the felt the spirit. Then the missionaries showed up at their door and they invited them in and the rest is history. He bore testimony that his family has forever changed because of the Gospel. He and his wife have been able to fix everything and they are a one big happy family! It was so cool to see that we are making a difference and there are people out there who are prepared! We just have to find them!
So we were feeling super pumped up and we went home had some dinner and got on our bikes and went to work! We went tracting and then we had a lesson at 7:30. We were on our way to our lesson and We were in a hurry. I was in front and I stopped before crossing a cross walk out of a parking lot. A lady was pulling out and waiting for traffic. Then there was a person pulling in. He saw us waiting and stopped so we could go. And I thought the lady saw me too because she didn't go when he stopped. So I started to go and she did too. It wasn't bad she was going from a complete stop so she didn't have any speed really...(well kinda) it just threw me off my Bike. But I popped right back up. She was so sorry, I said I was fine and she offered her number, but I knew nothing was broken or really bad, I just had some cuts and bruises. But I did give her a pass along card! Maybe she'll look at the website and get baptized!
So I picked up my bike and kept going... hey we had a lesson to get to! I did get a pretty good gash on my knee but I thought it made me look pretty tough, so we walked my broken bike and went to our lesson and then we went home and I got cleaned up. We went on exchanges that night. I hobbled.
The next morning, I woke up and I felt like I got hit by a car....because... I did haha. We looked at my bike and tried to fix it but we saw that it needed a professional to look at it. So we had enough appointments that we could walk and get some rides. My left shoulder is the one I landed on and It started to hurt pretty bad, but not unbearable.
So we went and visited a less active and saw one of our investigators, T! He is pretty interesting. I can't really get a reading on him, but he is pretty nice. We taught him about the Plan of Salvation and the member we brought with us was awesome! He was really able to explain things and see where T was coming from. See members make all the difference!
:D So I felt like I should probably get my shoulder looked at so the sister trainer leaders took us to Centra Care (which is like Insta Care). Nothing is broken, just pretty Sprained. The doctor gave me a sling to wear for a week and some anti-biotics and cream for the cut on my knee. Then we went and got my bike fixed at Bike Works. Shout out to the people at Bike Works! They are awesome! They fixed up my bike and it was a 3rd of the cost of what I thought it was going to be. Miracle!
So with my arm I haven't been able to bike. So we have been walking a lot. We got a referral this week from the sisters in the Goldenrod ward and we went and saw her. She is awesome! We went and visited K and she had chairs all set up for us and some otter pops. So nice! She really has that true desire to know and is willing to work for it which is awesome!
We had church yesterday and T came! It was a really cool Fast Sunday. I felt like every testimony the words "I feel like I should say this" were said and then their testimony was exactly what T needed! It was so cool! The church is true! After Church there was a baptism and a Break the fast Sabbath Social and T stayed for all of it! He also talked with the Bishop for like an hour and a half. We don't know how that went but I'm sure we will find out. But he said Church was Ok. Like I said I just can't read him because it was such a spiritual Sunday! We shall see what happens.
Well I am doing much better. I will send pictures of my narley Bruise. haha I love you all! Thank you for all of your continued love, support, and Prayers!
