I LOVE TO SEE THE TEMPLE!
Hello everyone!!!
I hope you all had an amazing Valentine's day!!! We had a really good week here in Clermont, Florida!!
We taught one of our investigators, *May. She is 12 and the sisters before me were teaching her for the past 2 months. She is golden. She loves to read and to pray but unfortunately her mom is not too happy about us teaching her anymore. So we had to drop her. We tried several times to talk to her mom and get it all figured out, but her mom just wouldn't have any of it, and because May knew her mom wasn't too happy she kind of backed off too. Bummer. So we had to drop her.
We had scripture study on Wednesday and one of our investigators,*John has been kind of avoiding us. He has been meeting with the sisters for like 6 months. He knows its true and wants to be baptized but he is waiting on his parole. He had a bit of a set back with some of the commitments so that's why we think he has been backing off. But he came on Wednesday!!! What a miracle! It was an amazing lesson too! The Elders taught all about putting on the full armor of God. I think it was just what John needed to hear.
Friday we had the wonderful opportunity to go to The Temple!!! It was amazing! It was just what I needed!!! A spiritual boost! The Orlando Temple is gorgeous! As we were walking up, going into the building, I almost lost it with tears. I was just so grateful for the opportunity I was having to actually go inside and do a session. Then once I got in I couldn't stop smiling from ear to ear. I just felt that fullness of joy that is talked about in the scriptures. I know that to be true. If we truly do follow the commandments and do what we are supposed to do, we will be blessed and we will be able to feel that everlasting happiness and joy.
Sister Byron took us to the temple, then we stopped by at Boyd's LDS book store. I was able to get a new CTR ring thanks to Grandpa Traylor!! Thank You!!! I needed a new one super bad. Then sister Byron took us to lunch at Toojay's a New York Deli. It was really good! Sister Byron is from New York and wanted to give us the full experience. So we had kinish and potatoe cakes and the chocolate killer cake. It was great! I am so grateful for wonderful members who do so much for us! oh! It was Valentine's Day too!! Thank you so much mom and dad for the wonderful Chocolates and card and teddy bear!! I loved it! Oh and Paige thank you for the fruit by the foot! haha It was a wonderful Valentines!
When we went in for the night a member and her 3 year old daughter dropped off a personalized valentine painting and flowers for each of us. It was so sweet! It made my day.
Sister Williams and I have been fighting off a bad cold. So we rested for part of the week and took it easy.
Well I cannot believe we are already half way through February. Crazy! I love you all! Have a great week!
Love, Sister Forsey
