Heyyyy everybody!
Well it is getting hotter than ever down here and I am about to melt! Sounds like it's been such a fun week! I am so happy for you guys!
Well Last Monday we went over to Johnny and Eliza's for their lesson and they were out having a bbq with their neighbors for memorial day. We walked up to Johnny and said hello he said hello back and introduced us to his cousin. His cousin then goes off on how we believe that we will one day get our own worlds and how we believe satan and jesus are brothers. And we answered him and tried to talk to him but he just said. "Thank you, you can leave now" then I said "We are actually here for Johnny and Eliza" and he said " I know but I'm here now so you can leave." We looked at Johnny and he wouldn't look at us. I just said " well have a nice holiday" and we walked away with our bikes. It had been a rough day to begin with and that was just the topper I started to tear up and I looked back after we were off their street and Sis. Hoffmeier was crying too. The cousin was just so mean and Johnny and Eliza didn't even acknowledge our existence. It hurt, we were hurt. But we had the Lords work to do. So we went and tried to visit some less actives and no one was home so we went home ate ice cream, painted our nails, and cried a little bit more. Then we were good. hahaha much needed therapy!
Tuesday we visited some single sisters. Then we had dinner at the Northcotts and they have the cutest little kids! It made me miss all my kids I watch! :( But they were a nice family we had a good time.
Wednesday we went tracting and had a lesson with a media referral whose name is Elmo. He goes around the world and preaches and does revivals? uhhhh we weren't too sure about him haha. We will see what happens. That night we did exchanges with the Sister Trainer Leaders and Sis. Ursenbach came to our area and stayed with me. We chatted that night and she just unloaded! I could tell she was so exhausted from the added stress of being an STL and had taken care of everyone else's problems but hadn't had a min. to take care of her own. So I just sat and listened and gave some advice as needed. I'm like a therapist here I love it haha!
Thursday we had temple service again! It was awesome! After that we went to Boyd's LDS bookstore with the Bevans and there we saw Spencers DVD and CD Set. I freaked out. Sister Bevans picked it up and said we're getting it. We listened to the CD on the way home. I was bragging all about how that was my Brother! hahaha It was so good to hear Spencer's voice and just get a taste of family!
We had a lesson with Teressa but she said she is going away for a month to Chicago to help her cousin out. So we will have to check back in a month. We went to see some Less Actives and Sis. Ursenbach was so bold! I was like dang girl! You can't just ask people things like that. hahaha But I learned a lot about boldness and am trying to apply it in my lessons.
We also had a lesson with Christy and her family and she really opened up. It was great! I can definitely see her two kids getting baptized and her coming back to church.
That night we listened to a hybrid talk by President Eyring and Elder Holland it was amazing!! You all should definitely check it out.
Friday we biked 7 miles one way to Dianna's house. Her close friend passed away and we felt we needed to go and see her. So we did! Later that night we did some tracting and visted The Athertons (some active members). They are amazing! Bro. Atherton keeps Mormon.org pass along cards with him and passes them out.
Saturday we biked 4 miles one way to Sis. Cabrera's for lunch. She has an amazing conversion story! She went through 15 missionaries and she went to visit the church sites in Kirtland and she was in one of the buildings and knelt down to pray and just started crying tears of joy and couldn't stop! So she called the missionaries and was baptized the next Saturday! How awesome is that?
Saturday night was Dianna's Baptism! It was wonderful she was just grinning from ear to ear! Sunday Dianna was confirmed and she had her baby, Naveah, blessed. It was a great sacrament meeting! After church we went and ate lunch at Dianna's. She LOVES to cook! and She is so good at it too!
It was a great week! I am excited to see what this next week brings! I love you all! Thank you for the continued prayers! The Church is True!
Love, Sister Forsey
