The Lord's plans are always better than mine!
Hello family and friends!!
Wow! What a week! I am just happy as a clam right now hearing from everyone! Thank you for the email and videos! They were great! Paige and Averi are getting so big I can't handle it! LOVE the dance moves Paige! We will most definitely be having dance parties when I get home! :D
I was thinking the same thing this weekend....Wow this was my third General Conference on my mission I just can't believe it! And next conference I will be enjoying mom's amazing breakfast! I just can't believe it. haha I guess I will just have to work super hard!
Chris and Cho I think it's a girl! I can feel it in my bones! Girls rule! haha (FYI- since this letter, Chris and Nichole have found out that ITS A BOY!)
Well this past week we went on exchanges with the STL's. I went up to Belleview with Sister Parker and oh man we just had a party! It was a lot of fun. We did some service and taught their investigator. Her name is Patty and she is dating a member. We had some concerns to know if she was being baptized for herself or for her boyfriend of 3 years. So we talked with her about what it means when we are baptized. That we are expected to come to church every week, accept a calling, serve happily, and stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things and in all places. She felt the spirit and knew that is what she wanted to do. She looked up at us and said, "I guess that means I'm gonna have to stop meeting with my Jehovah Witness's friends huh?" haha WE both looked at her and said yes! So that was a cool miracle. .
Wednesday we went to see a referral and lo and behold she was a member! She was baptized forever ago but it was cool to meet her and get her info for her records. We are gonna start meeting with er regularly and help her get back to church!
We had Scripture Study this week and We taught on Apostasy. We played the game 'telephone' to show how the apostasy happened... that truths were distorted and changed according to the ideas of man and how because of that there needed to be a restoration. After playing with everyone. The first person went directly to the last person and said a phrase. It came out the exact same, no changes. I bore testimony that there is a need for a prophet on the Earth. He is the mouth piece of Christ and is here to lead and guide us. Wow the spirit in that room was so strong! The Church is true!
Then came General Conference and all I have to say is WOW! What a spiritually intense and uplifting meeting! Some things that really stuck out to me is having Christlike love for others and serving them. Having Charity and Diligence. I LOVED Elder Ballard's! I hope you will all follow his council and study Preach my Gospel. It is truly an inspired manual from the Lord. I hope you will study it and find the truths and direction in it that I have.
I also LOVED Elder Bednar's talk. It really is those Loads that we bear that make us who we are and get us to where we need to be. Times are changing, religious freedom is a big topic too. I loved how the brethren talked about how we need to be prepared to defend our faith and to know what we believe and to share our beliefs with others. Wow is all I have to say.
We have transfers this week and Sister Williams is outta here! I had a strange feeling that I would be training and I guess the spirit was speaking to the wrong Sister Forsey haha Kim- You are going to be an awesome trainer! I am so excited for you!
As for me the Lord has others plans, I know that His plans are always better than the plans I have for myself. I will be keeping you all in my prayers!
Love you! :D Love, Sister Forsey
P.S. I was asked to sing at Zone Training Meeting! I sang Called to Serve acapella. It was soo cool! The Lord is allowing me to use my talents! Music really is my passion!
