Hello Family and Friends!
So Glad Grandma's Viewing and funeral went well! I know she would be very happy with all of it!
There have been lots of Miracles here this week! on Tuesday we got a call from the University Park Ward sisters and they said they have a referral for us! Her name is L and she is awesome! She has been going to the ward there for 8 years and feels ready to be baptized in August. Which is Awesome! She is YSA age so we went and met her on Tuesday. She is so sweet and so spiritually converted. She knows it's true and LOVES to read the Book of Mormon.
Wednesday we taught our investigator, C. We taught the Plan of Salvation and we had a member come with us. We know that Gators progress so much faster if they have members at their lessons to offer another testimony. He really enjoyed the lesson because he felt that it answered a lot of his questions that he has always had.
We taught members alot this week. President has asked us to meet with 12 members a week and teach them the missionary lessons. So we have been doing that and it was been really great getting to know the members more and to see where they are at with their testimonies and understanding of the Gospel. It is always good to sharpen up our skills as teachers as well!
On Thursday we had an awesome lesson with our Gator, R. We taught him the Word of Wisdom and the spirit was so strong! I think he felt it and knows that he needs to live it and see the blessings from it. We also talked with him about the importance of the Book of Mormon. I was reading in Preach My Gospel this morning and it was talking about how the Book of Mormon is the keystone of our religion. It holds everything we teach together. We need to make sure we are relaying that importance to our investigators so they know the importance of it in their life as well. A testimony about the Book of Mormon is so powerful. Don't be afraid to share yours!
That night the member we had come with us, drove us back home and she is struggling with some stuff in life right now and before we get out of the Car Sister Stratman asked if we could share a message. So she pulled up a video and shared it with the member and she just started to Cry. It was just what she needed to hear. To have Hope and to keep going. I was so proud of Sister Stratman! She has been working on listening to the spirit and noticing it when inspiration comes. And she followed a prompting and saw the fruits of it. It was so cool to experience!
That night we went on exchanges and I went to Goldenrod with Sister Pugmire. We made a joke about having matching PJ's and when I put mine on she had the same ones! So it was pretty funny! We didn't mean to, but it happened. So Friday we spent most of the Day finding people and knocking on Doors. sister Pugmire is awesome! We have a lot of fun together. She is hilarious!
Saturday we had a ward Car Wash were passerbyers could come and get their car washed for free and get a free Hot Dog! We got some nice people! One guy pulled up and said, "You know what I'm gonna do? I'm gonna go and buy a bag of Weed and get High" to Which our Bishop replied," Great! Well come and get your car washed first!" haha The guy talked to the Bishop for about an hour and a half and he said he would come to church the next day it was pretty cool.
Sunday we had a great Day! K came to church and so did L! Last Night we were talking to L about her baptismal interview and she said that she wanted to be baptized in the UPK ward. So we were like okay, so we called the UPK sisters to tell them and apparently when The UPK Bishop found out that the UPK sisters "passed" her off to us, he got upset. He wants L to be baptized in his ward. There was also another family that got upset because they wanted her baptized in the UPK ward as well. So it was just a bunch of Drama! I wanted to say look people we couldn't care less where she get baptized we just want her to receive those blessings! Just goes to show that the Church is True the People aren't! But we will see what happens. We just want the best for L.
Well I love you all! I hope you have a great week! Sister Stratman and I's mail box has been broken or something because we haven't gotten any letters or anything for a long while... We will have to look into that.
:D Love, Sister Forsey
